Hi, I'm the artist behind Crabby Larry!

People always ask me, "Who's Larry?" Well... Larry is actually my husband!

Back in 2020, I sat down with my watercolor paints and created this happy little blue crab. When I decided to playfully name him Crabby Larry, my husband wasn't sure if he should be honored... or a little crabby! We still laugh about it.

As a proud Marylander, I've always loved blue crabs, the Chesapeake Bay, and everything that makes life on the Eastern Shore so special. I wanted to create artwork that celebrates our Maryland lifestyle with color, personality, and a little bit of humor.

What started as watercolor note cards and framed prints has grown into something I never imagined. Today, Crabby Larry has his own copyrighted artwork, trademarked Crabby Larry Claws™, and has splashed onto apparel, embroidery, gifts, and fun designs for both adults and kids.

I never imagined one little watercolor crab would grow into a brand that so many people would connect with. Every piece starts with my original artwork. Crabby Larry is more than a blue crab—he's a reminder to laugh a little, enjoy the simple things, and cherish memories of growing up in Maryland. My hope is that each design brings a smile, sparks a happy memory, and shares a little piece of Maryland wherever it goes.
